Problem -Base Learning Activity
Grade: Kindergarten
Subject: Math /Graph
The student in Kindergarten will help the principal find out where the student will like to go for the first field trip of the year. The student will prepare a survey with three different places the principal office will give. An example can be: The Philadelphia Zoo, The Franklin Institute or The Adventure Aquarium. The student will color a happy face for every student they ask. After the student collect the information they will put it together and prepare a pictograph. Then they will meet with the principal and give her a report about where the students will like to go.
*The student will do the survey to students in grade 1-4th grade. The Kindergarten class will be divide in four groups of three. That will be working together to visit the classroom and do the survey.

The first four question are to discuss before start working. The last question is at the end of the activity to help some of the students understand fairness.

Technology Tools
Pictographs: Jr Brain Pop - this web tool will be to introduce the lesson. Also the student can practice how to read a pictograph. And take a little quiz.
App: Doodle Buddy - will be use to draw their Pictographs. When the Graphs are complete the teacher will approve them and the students will print them for the meeting with the principal. This tool will also function for the assessment of the students learning.
Both of this technology tools will be excellence for reinforce and assess the concepts. Using Doodle Buddy the student will be assess individually.

Key Word: Pictographic- A pictograph is a graph that organizes and shows information using pictures.
